Master Rugmaker for 135 years. Kasthall has carried a legacy of craftsmanship and design culture since 1889, grounded in Swedish heritage and shaped by generations of makers in the Kinna mill. With an identity that is proudly Nordic yet globally relevant, each rug is crafted to bring warmth, harmony, and timeless character to the spaces it inhabits. Building on this foundation, Kasthall continues to evolve with a commitment to responsible growth and a creative culture where true mastery in rugmaking is earned.
As Art Director at Kasthall, the role has included defining the brand’s identity and visual language, and steering projects from early concept through to final execution.
Kasthall’s heritage of craftsmanship, its long design tradition, and its Nordic identity were used as the foundation for shaping a renewed visual expression. We brought Kasthall back to its roots, and into the future. Because design can be owned, but design culture must be nurtured and evolved.
The collection Fasad, designed by award winning architect David Chipperfield, takes inspiration from Kasthall’s brick façade in Kinna and uses recycled wool to reflect material renewal. We developed a concept that merges renewal and architectural design, balancing structure, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Craft Run Club launched globally in early 2023, following a short teaser and recruiting campaign for captains. The first four clubs are up and running in Paris, Boston, Copenhagen and Stockholm, with more cities and continents expected to be added in the near future. The launch campaign reached over 100,000 unique users and generated thousands of sign-up leads from runners interested in becoming captains.
